Is there a pregnant woman in your life who just doesn’t want or need more things? These 10 gifts are thoughtful experience-based gifts that she is sure to appreciate… probably even more so than a physical item.
I have also created several other Christmas gift lists for pregnant women that include physical gifts:

EXPERIENTIAL GIFTS FOR THE MOMMY-TO-BE
1) Prenatal Massage

Massages always feel good, but they are EXTRA good when you’re pregnant. Every day a new part of your body aches. Oh what I would give to have an on-call massage therapist during pregnancy!
According to the American Pregnancy Association, “Studies indicate that massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health.”
As long as momma has had a healthy pregnancy and her OB gives her the okay, a massage is an excellent gift. Just be sure that the massage therapist is certified in prenatal massage.
2) Chiropractic Care
I went to a chiropractor during my first pregnancy and I recommend it to all my friends. It was so helpful in alleviating my hip pain and the only thing that really helped with the terrible tension headaches and migraines I got during pregnancy.
But don’t just take it from me, according to the American Pregnancy Association, some of the benefits of Chiropractic care during pregnancy include: “maintaining a healthier pregnancy, controlling symptoms of nausea, reducing the time of labor and delivery, relieving back, neck or joint pain, and preventing a potential cesarean delivery.”
Same as with the prenatal massage, be sure momma has had a healthy pregnancy and the OB has cleared her for chiropractic care. Also, all chiropractors are trained to work with pregnant women, but you really want to make sure the one you choose has had specialized training and the correct equipment for pregnant women. I would suggest specifically asking if they have been Webster certified.
3) Housecleaning Service

I had severe morning sickness for the first 4 months of both my pregnancies, and it took all I had just to take showers. Cleaning the house wasn’t even on my radar. One week (yes, week… not day), I cleaned 2 of our 3 toilets and that was a huge success.
I finally convinced my husband to let me hire a cleaning crew to come in and deep clean the house and oh my goodness it was AMAZING.
So whether momma is really struggling with nausea in the first trimester, or she’s running after other children during the second, or if she’s having a hard time just bending over to pick anything up in the third trimester, having someone else come clean her house would be such a blessing. Trust me.
4) Meal Kit Delivery Service

These meal kit delivery plans that deliver the fresh and pre-measured ingredients to your door have become incredibly popular and might just be the perfect gift for the pregnant woman in your life.
She will still have to cook with these, but she won’t have to plan the meal, go to the grocery store or prep all the ingredients in some cases. There are a ton out there, but here are a few good options with unique value points:
- Home Chef – One of the most highly rated meal kit services.
- Sun Basket – All organic produce, the meat is antibiotic-free with no added hormones, and the seafood is wild-caught and sustainable.
- Gobble – Preps all the ingredients for you, so there is little to no peeling or chopping. Claims to allow you to have a fresh dinner cooked in 15 minutes.
- Freshly – This is the ultimate no-work meal service. All the meals are fully cooked already!
But for the momma who would rather just get takeout…
5) Restaurant or Food Delivery Gift Card

I know I’m not alone in this when I say, when I’m pregnant, I’m ALWAYS hungry. Our grocery and restaurant spending skyrockets during the 9 months that I’m pregnant. A gift card to her favorite restaurant would be a great gift for the practical (and hungry) momma.
Make it even sweeter with a gift card to have it delivered with services like GrubHub or DoorDash. These delivery services vary by location so just do a quick search for “food delivery service.”
6) Date Night Package

Give mom and dad some special alone time before the baby arrives. You may consider putting together a “full package” date night including tickets to a concert or movie, a gift card to their favorite restaurant, and money for a babysitter if they have other children. An extra special treat would be to also include a gift card to a maternity store such as Motherhood Maternity so momma can buy herself a cute new date-night outfit!
7) Spa Treatment

Pregnant mommas deserve to be pampered! And sometimes it’s hard to feel pretty and refreshed when you’re tired, achy and feeling puffy. Give her the gift of relaxation and beautification with a gift card to a local spa so she can get a manicure, pedicure, facial, blowout, massage, or whatever she chooses!
8) Maternity Photoshoot

I just LOVE maternity photos and I’m so glad we had some nice pictures taken while I was pregnant with my first. I have several of them up on my wall. Search for some local photographers near momma and give her a really special gift that she’ll be able to cherish for MANY years to come!
9) Babymoon

This one is the SPLURGE of the list. If you can afford it, or want to go in on a gift with several other friends or family, this would be the ultimate present. Consider gifting things such as flights, hotel/AirBnB accommodations, spa treatments at the location, a gift card to a local restaurant, extra spending money, etc.
If you don’t know their schedules or destination preferences, you can also give gift cards to an airline and hotel chain or AirBnB so they can plan it themselves.
10) A NAP!

This one is especially for mommas who have other children running around. Pregnancy makes you EX-HAUS-TED!!! And with other children to take care of, there is little to no time left for naps for momma. So if you can, offer to take her kids to the park or a children’s museum for the afternoon so she can have some time to take a bath and a nap in a quiet, kid-free house!
